Hankering for some Ham?

Yeah, I'm usually not either.

But this is a good and quick recipe! And one of the only things my son LOVES--go figure!

1 large or 2 small ham steaks (like above)

3/4 cup of white sugar

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1- 1/2 tablespoons of dry mustard

1/2 cup of cider vinegar

4 tablespoons butter

*Mix these ingredients together in a pan and simmer for 8 minutes.

*Add 1 eight ounce can of whole cranberry sauce and simmer for a couple of minutes more.

*Pour the mixture over the ham steak and bake at 350 degrees for 15-30 minutes.

I will admit the smell of all the ingredients together is potent at first, but the taste is yummy.

I never know what to do with ham. We usually eat it once a year - Christmas Day - but this sounds like a yummy recipe!

Oh I take that back. We do have Cordon bleu a lot. It's a slow cooker recipe and sooo easy. I love that!

Chicken Cordon Bleu

4-6 Chicken breasts
4-6 Slices of ham
4-6 Slices of swiss
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/4 C milk

Put ham and cheese on chicken.Roll up and secure with a toothpick. Place chicken in the crock pot. Mix soup and milk. Pour over chicken. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours.

It really doesn't get much easier than that and it tastes so good!

That looks yummy! I also think that the recipe from nisa would be a good thing. We are always trying to think of different things to do with ham too.

Gotta make this next time I do hanker for ham. Which is the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Yay! Another great way to serve ham slices. Thank you for sharing. Will definitely do something with this recipe in the next week -- after grocery shopping.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! Would love to have you stop by the Foodie Joust Tie-Breaker and vote for my Solar Cooked Coconut Nutmeg Mahi Mahi! I've never been this close in a contest, before. Kind of exciting. Thanks, in advance, and looking forward to more Write-Brained blogging.

There is nothing I like more than salted, cured meats. NOTHING!

The easier a dinner is the better! That seems very simple.

This is totally up my appetite's alley! J doesn't like sweet with his meat, so he probably won't love it, but I can make it on a night when he'll be gone! TFS!!
