From Glee:
"I'm pretty sure my cat's been reading my diary."
I lurve you, Brittany
*****
From Janet Reid, the Query Shark herself:
"Really good novels don't have everything on the page. Really good novels are like spiderwebs: the filaments, words, are important but the space they create, the unspoken, is what makes it beautiful."
Love it!

From my own husband this past week, while watching Dexter:
"Oh my God, after all of these years together, I FINALLY get you."
Let me explain. I have this annoying habit of pausing shows or movies to discuss the plot, whether a line was delivered right, or was written well. It drives him BONKERS. So we were watching Dexter, and I paused it to say, "That's just a poorly written line, right there. Unusual for Dexter. Doesn't help forward the plot at all."
His eyes lit up. I swear I saw the light bulb click on in his head. He said he never realized what a writer mindset I had. And how it matched his musical mindset (he plays the bass, very well, I might add) when he dissected songs on the radio. He actually HUGGED me, and we've been laughing about it all week.

From Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger:
"I think that gay marriage should be between a man and a woman."
DUH!
*****
From Jenifer Aniston:
“The greater your capacity to love, the greater your capacity to feel the pain.”
So true!

I loved these!!! I think my favorite was your husbands, I love it when they finally get it!!! LOL
As always love the Glee quotes!
Okay, Christine, you'd drive me nuts if I watched TV with you. But then again, I think I'm beginning to do the same thing when I watch family movie night (the only TV I have time for now). My kids thought it was funny last Friday when I made some lame ass comment about some aspect of the plot from the movie we were watching.
Too funny about Schwarzenegger's comment. And so true about what Jenifer said. Good thing to remember when we show our character's emotions. ;)
love the glee quotes. they have the funniest one liners.
I am glad you had one of those moments. I think my husband would give anything to have one of those, "I finally get you moments," :)
Every one of your quotes made me smile. I finally get you, ha ha. My hubby is getting used to hearing me tearing apart plots and lines in movies. Aren't they sweet for putting up with us?
Another memorable quote from the Governator! Lol! So cool that you and the hubby shared that moment! Can't wait till the day that finally happens with us! I still we both have so much to learn :)
OMG! I CONSTANTLY pause the TV/DVR'd shows my husband and I watch together to do this very same thing! It started out harmlessly when he FINALLY began watching LOST in the middle of the fourth and I had to fill in a ton of back story every time something would happen (read also as - constantly). Now I do it on nearly every show we watch to critique writing/editing, etc. I'm still waiting for his light bulb moment with me about this! You're so lucky! :)
Great post! I got this one from my friend Janene:
A study revealed that the kind of face a woman finds attractive on a man can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. If she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features. If she is menstruating or menopausal, she is more attracted to a man with duct tape over... his mouth and a spear lodged in his chest while he is on fire. No further studies are expected.

Your husband is a doll. He should tell other husbands so then most husbands, but not all husbands, would get it too!
I LOVE that GLEE quote!!
Happy, Happy Friday, my love!! :)
My girl Jen knows what she's talking about. Keep on tryin' Jen!!
I love the Janet Reid quote.

and you & your hubby sound absolutely adorable!

<333
Oh my gosh, I the Arnold quote is the scariest by far. hahaha.
I love that your hubby had that light bulb moment. Awesome.
Omg, I liked all quotes, but your husbands was the winner!I wish the light bulb on my husby´s also lit on lol!
I love Jennifer Anniston's quote, although I must say I've always said it as 'As deeply as you can love, so deeply can you hate', but I guess hate is just a few steps on from pain, if it's not dealt with.
Oh, these are all great. I lurve Brittany, too, and the Janet Reid quote is just brilliance. And the one from your husband made me LOL! I do the same thing!
Did Arnold really say that??? I love Glee. What a fabulous show, though I have to admit, this week was not my fave.
I think that way too, especially as a former TV writer, sometimes I'm watching and thinking, the actor must have had something to do with that!?!
Thanks for coming by and making my SITS day such a wonderful experience. Your time and words mean the world to me.
Lots of yummy love,
