I guess I can't believe it's already here!
I love how the little flags line our lawns:
And how our town throws a great parade (here's little man dressed for it, waiting for the floats to come by and throw candy):
And how watching fireworks makes you feel a rush of excitement and awe:

We are taking a long weekend to spend time with family and friends. See you on Tuesday!

Small towns still do it up right don't they? I love the way ours hangs flags on every pole the entire way through town left and right. Makes my patriotic heart swell. Have a great 4th!

I love the parades! I don't know if they have any in Houston but back home we used to sit on the lawn and watch the children run for the candy!!! Too cute!!

My husband & I were just talking about how they used to come by and put a little flag in front of everyone's mailbox in my town but they had not done it in the last few years- and we were sad about that! We love when they do it!
I think we may put our own. I need to find my americana wreath and put out our big flag, too!
Happy (early) 4th to you too! I love parades, well I loved them more as a kid I think but all the same I love watching all the floats and when the military here marches out front to start it. Very special :) Have a great weekend!

I miss small town life, although the village I live in (within a larger city) sometimes has a small town feel. LIttle Man looks ready for a good time!
Exactly ! I am proud too. It's been doing nothing but rain her in Florida and my dad is not ready to leave the house yet. We watched the Macy's ones on TV and they were great.
