1. Sign up on Mr. Linky, below, or on Stina's blog.
2. On February 14th (Valentine's Day), post an excerpt from either your own work, or another's authors work you admire (give them credit, though), beginning at 7 am EST.
*But* make sure the excerpt is no longer than 250 words (it's tiring to read long excerpts). And if there's an intro to the scene, please, keep that short too!
Oh, and *don't forgot*, this is an actual KISSING SCENE! So go crazy :D
3. To make this *really simple*, we won't require you read everyone's entry (that's exhausting)! How about just 3-5 other entries?

Hi Rachel. I think it's okay, with credit, plus it's short. I've put other authors lines/paragraphs on my blog that I love and talked them up! ;-)

I like this idea except there is a kissing blogfest on the 14th that was announced yesterday. Tara has one called Hot Kiss (http://night-passenger.blogspot.com/2011/01/hot-kiss-blogfest.html). I could do both but man there is way too much lovey stuff going on blogfest wise in february.

You can post another author's work but I believe there is a strict copyright limit of 300 words. Might be worth looking into it further.

Ellie, "fair use" says if you post a short excerpt (no more than 10% of the work) it must be attributed. And of course, (I would hope)a writer doing this blogfest, who wants to highlight a favorite kissing excerpt (no more than 250 words)will absolutely give that author props. We are all in this together and know how very important it is to give credit where credit is due. If you don't feel comfortable with it, then don't do it--post your own juicy stuff instead, right? :D
