Before I was a Mom,
I didn't know the feeling of
having my heart outside my body.
Or how special it could feel
to hold a sleeping child.
I didn't understand the bond
that tethered our souls together.
Or that someone so small
could make me feel so significant and alive.
HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND!

I love these pics.
Holding a sleeping child was always one of my favorite memories from when my kids were younger . . . except for when the child feel asleep on the way to Walmart and I had to walk around the store lugging the child over my shoulder while she continued to slumber. Now that's what I called tired. :)
Lovely. Happy Mother's Day to you, too! I have an award for you on Writers' Ally, today. I'm highlighting writing moms and yes, being a bit silly, too. :)

Happy Mother's Day to you!
This is beautiful, the pictures and the words.
When I had my first child, I remember the overwhelming feeling of loving him so fiercely, yet if I died on the spot, he was too young to have a memory of it. That it would take years to have him really know the extent of my love. At 12 years, I think he only has an inkling.
Tear. What a freaking emotional day, but amazing and full of that wonderful baby smell I'm starting to get high on!
Hope yours was awesome!
