You make SNOWBALLS!
I've talked about Lois Ehlert's books before and what a perfect one to highlight in the middle of winter. My little bean LOVES this book and we read it often.
Ehlert uses collage art to show how natural items can be collected around the house: seeds, toy wheels, dried fruit, mittens and hats, plastic utensils, and bottle caps, to make different kinds of SNOW PEOPLE.
Ehlert makes the science of snow fun and interesting.
The book ALWAYS spurs our creative energy!

This is a fantastic book! It inspired many snow people in my yard (though this year, we have no snow).
We have several of Lois' books and enjoy them. I don't think we own that one though.

We made a snowman with playdo yesterday. We then made it melt as all our snow is currently doing now.

A life in letters? What will ours be--A Life in Emails? A Life in Tweets?
Books that really harness creativity and interaction are stand outs in my book. My kids loved books that spurred ideas to create something of their own in the same theme. :)
