Free Falling
Pump those legs like you mean it, wait until you're in that sweet spot, then let go and see how far you'll fly.
Even if you feel like nothing makes sense or where you're headed might not pay off, sometimes you've just got to...SOAR.
This is when the best scenes are written, in my opinion. When you're on automatic and the words just flow, as if they're writing themselves. This is when I most enjoy being a pantser (a reformed one, at least).
It's about taking chances and going for it! *psst... applies to life too*

This happens to plotters, too. You can't outline 80,000 words, or, if you did, you'd be a pantser.
True, Matt! But I know some people who would *try*--:D (heh heh)
A fellow panster. I am in total agreement. It's my characters that do the soaring, I am just along for the ride :)
Also, great post to read first thing in the morning. Gave me the motivation to open up my WIP and start fresh and early. Thanks!
I agree with you both. I thought I'd be a total plotter since I'm such an organized person, but like Matt says, I can't plot it all out.
I wasn't trying to have a plotting versus pantser debate in this post. *glares at Matt* The message was about that wonderful feeling of free falling! :D
Love.
I used to make myself sick on the swings. I'd twist myself around like winding a propeller on a toy airplane and then let go. I'd do it over and over until I felt terrible. It might not be soaring...but it was experiencing something new and different. :)
Yes it does. :D
I was just chatting on another blog about the true gift of 'letting oneself go' and just writing. I think I'll try that today.
Yes! The absolute best part of writing. (These are usually the scenes that stay whole during revision, too!)

Loving this pick me up! Don't you just love it when inspiration flows so easily :)

I love this! Thank you. :)
I love when the words flow, but it doesn't happen often enough!
Love this advice! I can't get enough of free falling in writing. It's one of the best feelings. :)
I always wanted to do this as a kid, but I was never brave enough :-)
