A wall of water obscuring my view.
Dull. Muted. Gray.
A forced stillness.
Permission to stay rooted to one spot.
A cocoon of privacy. Mystery. Silence.
To burrow under blankets of words.
A warm cup in my hand.
Secrets spilling over and carried away in a river of passages.
Calm. Cozy. Refuge.
WHO'S WITH ME?

I agree, except it's so gray that it makes me feel gray. Or it makes me feel like snuggling under the covers and read instead of edit. :)
But it is easier to write when it's not sunny out.
Nothing like a raining day when writing or revising. I don't feel so bad when I stay in.
Yes I know what you mean. I don't love winter but I love that there's no yard work and more time to write.
I am! If I could just get the dog and the kids to leave me alone, that is.
YES! I really love to write during thunderstorms. It always makes my writing more dramatic. :)
It is raining this morning (FINALLY) and all I want to do is finish up some writing, but I have to go to work instead. Alas.

I'm looking out my window at clouds growing darker and happily awaiting promised rain.

Your rainy-day words are spell-binding. Thank you!
I don't mind rainy days if I can stay home and be productive. But I don't like them any other time! :)
I don't mind the rain, if I can stay home. If I still have to haul myself to work through the crazy morning commute, then I'll pass ;o)
Agree, Maddy!
I need sunshine when I write! Sunshine gives me energy and I'm much more productive when it's warm and light out. On gloomy rainy days, all I want to do is read!
When it rains all I want to do is sleep. I don't get a darn thing done!
I love the rain. I also love to make chocolate chip cookies when it rains!
