I completed my Between Breaths New Adult Series with Penguin InterMix and said goodbye to the characters that I'd been writing for two years. I'm proud that I was able to incorporate mental health causes so important to me in two of the books: depression and domestic violence.
Cory and Jude ended the series in their own Male/Male romance, THERE YOU STAND, which, in my opinion, was perfect.
THEN I decided to spin off from that final storyline with my own self-pubbed Male/Male romance series called Roadmap to Your Heart. The first book, THE DARKEST FLAME, released in August, and the second book, THE DEEPEST BLUE, just released in December.
ALSO THIS YEAR, my first Adult Contemporary romance, TWO OF HEARTS, was released. It has some added suspense elements, and in a way, is a tribute to ALL OF YOU and THERE YOU STAND, which also has a little suspense. The book takes place on a Native American reservation, includes the Golden Arrow Casino, and some of the characters from my New Adult books WHISPER TO ME and THERE YOU STAND make an appearance, which is fun!
READERS: This year I straddled three different genres/categories--Adult, New Adult, and LGBTQ--and you hung in there with me, at least in spirit, even if you didn't like all of the changes or books. THANK YOU! I appreciate your support and kind words regardless.
Looking ahead to 2016:
**Book two of the Golden Arrow series, THREE SACRED WORDS, will release at the end of January. It's Meadow and Alex's story and will conclude the series.
**The third book in the Roadmap to Your Heart series will release in the spring. It's Tate's story.
But so many of you have begged for Billie's story from THE DEEPEST BLUE, that I've decided to plot that out as well, along with Mal (the Disciples of the Road president), from THERE YOU STAND and THE DARKEST FLAME. Maybe in novella form....we shall see.
**ALSO, I also have another m/f book I wrote and an additional m/m idea in the works that I will announce in the next couple of months, so STAY TUNED. WHEW!
